Currently we are looking for a Lead Engineering Documentation Control Specialist who is interested in joining a variety of new product development programs for electromechanical (often medical) systems. You enjoy collaborating with other engineering disciplines, supporting product development and managing an ever-evolving product documentation system in compliance with EPAM quality system based on ISO 13485 regulations.


  • Provide management oversight and expertise in document and records management and quality records management systems
  • Manage the day-to-day engineering change control and test documentation process and provide guidance and direction to company personnel on execution
  • Responsible for oversight, alignment and execution of documents with internal operations and external sources to assure compliance with our Quality System requirements
  • Develop, document and promote document control best practices
  • Develop and maintain component databases
  • Train staff on documentation and document control processes and procedures
  • Assist in the development and implementation of electronic Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), and Product Data Management (PDM)
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by supervisor


  • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in relevant technical field
  • 5+ years of experience in documentation control of product development
  • Familiar with Product Data Management (PDM) and Document Control systems
  • Experience with implementing (preferred), using, and managing electronic Product Lifecycle Management (PLM)
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills. Detail oriented, dependable and willing to handle multiple priorities
  • Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with varied development disciplines (e.g., mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, software engineering, human factors engineering, industrial design, interaction design)

Nice to have

  • Experience in managing component libraries
  • Experience applying design controls to medical device development
  • Proven experience of working with relevant directives and harmonized standards
  • Risk management experience pertaining to medical device development (ISO 14971)
  • Demonstrated ability to support multiple projects simultaneously
