What You’ll Do

  • Develop new features/enhancements, refactor legacy ETL code and fix bugs, this can include, but is not limited to, data mart design/development and Tableau dashboard design/development;
  • Own tasks through the entire software development life cycle from concept to release to production including helping to document business requirements, documenting development approach, implementing code changes, testing, gathering approvals and migrating code;
  • Develop code changes, unit tests, integration tests and performance tests pursuant to the development standards;
  • Develop code changes based on functional requirements defined via business requirement documents, functional specification design documents, Technical Design Documents, or other written/verbal instructions;
  • Work with business analysts, program managers to determine functional & technical requirements;
  • Provide ETL code and Tableau workbooks to the Business Intelligence and Analytics team;
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation (including but not limited to logical and physical data model designs and technical design documents) for all development changes and process enhancements;
  • Create and maintain detailed unit, integration, and QA testing strategy and test cases;
  • Maintain task assignments and provide weekly status updates via daily email and/or in-person updates;
  • Provide technical and functional support (including doing root cause analysis and troubleshooting activity) and will send regular status updates to affected users of supported data assets.

What You Have

  • 3+ years of experience in data analysis;
  • Proficiency in SQL;
  • Experience with Tableau workbooks;
  • Proficiency with SSRS;
  • ETL code knowledge.
