The project aims at building a data lake ingesting all available data sources across the wealth management group and becoming a single go-to place for serving all future data needs. Having the data ingested and pre-processed, it serves visualization layers including Tableau reports (first phase) and later a web-based portal.

Key areas of responsibility include:
- Development of database architecture, ensure that database designs are consistent with information architecture and information management standards;
- Work with data engineers to perform source system analysis, identification of key data issues, data profiling and development of normalized and star-snowflake physical schemas (this is more relational than big data /Hadoop architectures);
- Candidates with this experience and confidence to lead/advise the client will do very well on this project.

What You’ll Do

  • Ensure data lake model adheres to industry best-practices;
  • Identify and document data entities and attributes;
  • Document data structures in a data catalog and data dictionary;
  • Design data tables for business intelligence and consumption;
  • Analyze database implementation methods, create data monitoring models, create data models to support new releases, develop database design and architecture, document design and architecture considerations and solution, model design should ensure the integrity and security of the database.

What You Have

  • BS/MS EE (with some Computer Science background) or ECE.
