What You’ll Do

  • Understand the market and customer's needs and feedback;
  • Be an expert with Strategic Workforce Planning;
  • Develop the core positioning, pricing and messaging for the product;
  • Define the product strategy and roadmap;
  • Deliver MRDs and PRDs with prioritized features and corresponding justification;
  • Translate high-level product requirements into feature specs;
  • Talk to Human Resources about workforce planning, understand what technologies are in place around Workforce, Human Resources, and Financial planning;
  • Manage scope / backlog of features;
  • Build and manage product release plans;
  • Work with UX designers to identify usability gaps and create compelling user experiences;
  • Work with Marketing to help define and execute marketing strategy;
  • Develop sales tools and collateral;
  • Brief and train the sales force at quarterly sales meetings;
  • Demonstrate Product Proficiency by conducting product demos for customers;
  • Understand the connection and interdependencies of organizational talent supply and demand;
  • Able to convey how an organization’s demand for its product and/or services ‘converts’ to talent demand and capacity needs;
  • Define the value of segmenting short-term (tactical) from long-term (strategic) talent demand;
  • Understand how an organization evaluates its current supply of talent;
  • Able to define the various means available to an organization for resolving talent demand and how to go about evaluating and managing those means.

What You Have

  • 10+ years domain experience;
  • 7+ years of Product Management (or Product Marketing) experience;
  • 5+ years of Project Management experience;
  • Demonstrated success defining and launching excellent products;
  • Knowledge of the relevant markets and industries;
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Marketing required (MBA preferred);
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills, especially with regard to customer interactions;
  • Flexibility to travel as needed (up to 50%);
  • Strong interpersonal and motivational skills, especially when it comes to leading a team;
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority;
  • Provide at least one sample of an effective Product Management document delivered in the past.
