EPAM’s Financial Services Practice is looking for exceptionally talented people to join our team of world class engineers. Our clients are some of the world’s largest and most innovative banks, investment banks and wealth management institutions.

We are seeking hands-on Data Analyst, who is passionate about collecting, storing, processing, and analyzing of large sets of data. The focus will be on providing optimal solutions for these purposes, then maintaining, implementing, and monitoring them. You will also be responsible for integrating them with the architecture used across the company.

What You’ll Do

  • Implement data processing scripts in SQL (Hive SQL dialect);
  • Consult subject-matter experts of client to get insights into how existing systems keep records;
  • Combine data extracts from multiple banking systems for report development purposes;
  • Help big data developers in implementing the right queries from business POV.

What You Have

  • 5+ years of experience in data analysis;
  • Hands-on enterprise experience coding in Python;
  • Proficiency in SQL;
  • Experience working in financial services/banking industries and good domains knowledge.

Nice to have

  • Interest in learning PySpark library (Spark in Python) with the assistance of big data developers;
  • Proactivity;
  • Self-starter who can work independently through challenges.
