Currently we are looking for a Senior Software Engineer (Microsoft SQL Server) for our Shenzhen office to make the team even stronger.

Responsibilities

  • Fulfill the role of a Key Developer and a Designer or a Team Lead to manage a team of 2-5 engineers;
  • Review and understand project and requirement documentation; create design and technical documentation including high-quality documentation of his/her deliverables;
  • Plan and schedule own work for tasks and projects, create good quality deliverables without direct supervision;
  • Be self-managing, implement functionality without supervision and test his/her work thoroughly using test cases;
  • Perform profiling and troubleshooting of existing solutions;
  • Coordinate application deployment;
  • Follow and understand defined software development process;
  • Participate in workshops and presentation of proposed solutions to clients;
  • Communicate with clients on a regular basis to clarify business requirements;
  • Assist team members by providing technical solutions;
  • Work independently while in close collaboration with others in the team and across projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related majors;
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience;
  • Strong SQL knowledge, solid experience with SQL query tuning;
  • Strong Microsoft SQL Server coding and optimization skills;
  • Experience in MS SSIS with ETL to maintain;
  • Experience in one of ETL tools like Oracle, IBM Data Stage, Talend, SSIS, Informatica etc;
  • Knowledge of ANSI SQL, T-SQL, PL/SQL;
  • Understanding of database server architecture;
  • Understanding of RDBMS concepts;
  • Experience in designing and developing database structure;
  • Good interpersonal skills, analytical mind, conscientious attitude, and passion for engineering excellence;
  • Ability to analyze several possible solutions to engineering problems and evaluate which one is the most suitable option;
  • In depth understanding of different phases of software development lifecycle and understanding of Agile Scrum processes;
  • Willingness and ability to adapt to changes in priorities and requirements;
  • Active learner who is passionate about technology and keeps up to date with technological innovations;
  • Good communication skills;
  • Intermediate (CEFR B1) or higher level of spoken and written English;
  • Problem solving skills.

Nice to have

  • Experienced in using Jira as the reporting tool;
  • Experienced in MS SQL Server DBA roles.
