Test Automation Lead will be responsible for managing the automation portion of the quality assurance and testing of all application systems, their data and their performance as it pertains to their delivery team. Candidate will be responsible for the design of the automation framework and architecture. The candidate will also take care of all automation planning, automation monitoring, managing the off shortest teams, as well as automation strategy and approach from initiation through completion for the specified delivery team. This will include any web service, batch, UI or integration components (APIs) and any legacy systems that require alterations or integration as part of the scope of the specified delivery team. The scope of work will include all associated functional (automated), performance and end-to-end test support. Candidate needs to have strong skills in development, quality assurance planning, and execution & integrated testing support activities. Candidate needs to havestrongorganization,communicationandmanagement negotiations skills. The candidate will work alongside the Application Performance & Analytic resource. They will share complimentary strategy and data.

What You’ll Do

  • Estimate effort for delivery automation testing services based on given scope;
  • Design and manage automation test framework and architecture;
  • Prepare, plan and conduct cross team meetings and internal status update meetings;
  • Develop repeatable testing and application performance automation solutions that will effectively meet business requirements and enable the modernization of automation management strategies for clearing, risk and depository systems;
  • Develop and maintain project work plan(s), dependencies, issues/risks logs and other deliverables as necessary;
  • Maintain a strategic and tactical focus; set clear objectives and defined deliverables;
  • Understand application workflow and work with business analysts, application team members, and both internal and external QA Analysts to integrate, regression test, and manage all tasks associated with quality assurance of all identified systems;
  • Understand all phases of the project and assume responsibility for testing deliverables, schedule, cost, and quality;
  • Understand data structures from various systems, support specified applications impact both to and from other application teams in a test setting;
  • Lead a cross-functional, onshore/offshore team model while motivating team members to their highest potential;
  • Interface effectively with all levels and across organizational lines, including the business units;
  • Utilize effectively external vendors and offshore automation resources;
  • Act as relationship manager for all the EPAM offshore teams;
  • Monitor and resolve any service escalations that are not managed by leads;
  • Monitor quality operating procedures, standards, and strategic initiatives;
  • Provide direction/guidance for service standards and all relevant documentation as per the environment Methods required for the particular quality stage;
  • Monitor automation KPIs and transformation agenda. Defines and executes strategic initiatives to realize automation objectives;
  • Measure, monitor, and address engagement service cost, quality, and customer satisfaction gaps and issues, risks, and concerns.

What You Have

  • Minimum of 8 years of related work experience in Software Quality Assurance Automation;
  • Exceptional relationship building, client centricity and influential skills;
  • Strong test automation skills utilizing best of breed tools and/or open source components;
  • Well organized, result oriented, self-motivated, collaborative;
  • Experience with performance testing, stress testing and other forms of non functional testing;
  • Familiar with traditional RDBMS and NoSQL/File based persistence;
  • Strong development skills with Java, Python, React, and experience with MVC, Web Services, REST API, JMS, TCP/IP, LoadRunner, Selenium, etc;
  • Ability to work with/build restful APIs, Restful Interfaces, Regular Expressions;
  • Experienced with variety of Quality Assurance technology architecture including application, infrastructure, data and security;
  • Quickly understand organizational dynamics and management priorities, and to be able to work effectively in a fast paced, results driven technology environment;
  • Self-starter, highly organized; Works well with all functional levels in the organization; Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills; high level of business management and facilitation skill; capability to resolve complex problems with minimum confusion, frustration, and inconveniences for all parties concerned;
  • Familiar with Performance Management, Big Data Analytics, Capital Market Infrastructures;
  • Object-oriented programming in Java and Python;
  • Automation design and scripting skills;
  • Application Development Life Cycle - SDLC;
  • AWS Cloud platform;
  • Database technologies, data warehousing, data marts and complex data modeling, in-memory databases;
  • Knowledge of at least one database product (PostgreSQL, MSQL, DB2, etc.);
  • End point devices such as mobile, single sign on, API based integration, Restful web services;
  • Workflow engines, document management systems, reporting systems, web forms;
  • Big data solutions, data analytics, data lakes, unstructured data, sandbox data environments;
  • Familiarity with enterprise level tools and products such as Google for work, Blueprint, JIRA, TestRail.
