EPAM is looking to add an experienced HR Compliance Specialist to help drive and support various projects and initiatives across the organization. Reporting to the People Operations Manager, this is a key position that will be responsible for managing all US and Canada-based HR compliance initiatives in accordance with federal, state/provincial, and organizational requirements to ensure EPAM meets its regulatory and policy responsibilities

What You’ll Do

  • Responsible for ensuring all employee data (I-9 documentation, visa information, EEO data, etc.) is captured accurately and all personnel files and HR and Payroll records are maintained in accordance with federal and state requirements;
  • Find opportunities and implement procedures to strengthen HR controls and establish regular audit activities to verify accuracy and completeness of our records;
  • Responsible for all newcomer and client required background check processes, including reconciliation of invoices;
  • Administer and navigate EPAM’s leave of absence programs and provide HR support for workers’ compensation administration;
  • Create or update and maintain various internal and external communication channels and internal systems;
  • Performs regulatory compliance reviews to ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state laws and regulation.

What You Have

  • Bachelor’s degree; 2-4+ years of human resources (or related) experience in a fast-paced, innovative environment, including prior experience in compliance program administration role, ideally in a multi-national technology company;
  • Broad experience and understanding of US and/or Canada federal and state/provincial employment compliance laws;
  • Ability to manage competing demands, prioritize, work with a sense of urgency, meet deadlines, exceed expectations, and deliver on commitments;
  • Previous experience developing and maintaining relationships virtually;
  • Consistently able to use ultimate discretion regarding confidential and sensitive personnel data;
  • Strong English written and verbal communication skills;
  • Careful listener and good communicator (speaking and writing);
  • Passionate and energetic with a positive mindset and ‘can-do’ attitude;
  • Reliable and responsive;
