Build web applications with a focus on the client side;
Redesign UI, implement new UI with back-end Java development if necessary;
Design and build scalable framework for web applications;
Explore and design dynamic and compelling consumer experiences;
Write unit and integration tests;
Perform regular code reviews;
Perform regular technical interviews.
Advanced knowledge and understanding of software engineering concepts and methodologies is required;
Advanced knowledge of and experience in Java Core;
Experience working with frameworks such as JEE, Spring and Hibernate or similar enterprise framework;
Experience with SQL databases and data modeling;
Able to understand and create UML diagrams;
Comfortable workings on UNIX environments and shell scripting, though not necessarily an expert;
Strong practical knowledge of implementing design patterns and designing the solution;
Strong knowledge of secure coding practices, high performant and scalable systems & services, and security frameworks supporting authentication, authorization, key management, certificate management, and encryption. Ability to mentor others in these areas;
Strong understanding of how to structure & manage code across a team, and the experience to drive quality through common practices and tools the create transparency (ex. code reviews, BitBucket, Sonar, SonarCube, SonarLint, Crucible and FishEye.).
Nice to have
Understanding of common file transfer protocols (ftp, sftp, ftps, etc.) is a big plus;
Experience with CI/CD (Jenkins);
Experience with TDD;
XML Parsing with Java;
Understand basics about cryptography, handshake, SSL certificates.
