DESCRIPTION


Currently we are looking for a Lead Database Administrator for our Zurich office to make the team even stronger.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Oracle database development;
  • Collaborate closely with the Architects and Business Analysts;
  • Track, document and report progress to the Project Managers;
  • Provide high level support to investigate and fix production problems;
  • Work activities include DB objects development, data validation and analyzing existing processes and procedures;
  • Prepare technical documentation (software architecture documents).

Requirements

  • Familiar with Oracle 11.x/12.x, DBaaS Exadata and Unix/Linux;
  • Strong skills needed in database monitoring, tuning;
  • Experience as an Oracle DBA;
  • Preferred knowledge as a Database Developer with Hibernate;
  • Preferred Shell scripting know-how;
  • Good experience working in bigger enterprises, familiar with the "segregation of duty" concept;
  • Experience in logical, and physical data modelling;
  • Excellent analytical and design skills and ability to grasp complex business or technical issues in a structured and efficient manner;
  • Work with minimal supervision;
  • Possible to work part-time (80%);
  • Expected weekends availability can be compensated;
  • Good English skills, German is a plus.
