The Software Development Team Lead is responsible for the architecture and technical direction of a software project. You will work closely with product management to understand business needs and guide projects from conception through implementation.

What You’ll Do

  • Guide engineering teams in adoption of architectural standards;
  • Work across the stack from UI to database;
  • Leverage AWS to deliver efficient, cloud-native solutions;
  • Translate business needs and requirements into technical specifications;
  • Assist in the preparation of project plans and product roadmaps;
  • Provide technical leadership, mentoring and direction to other team members;
  • Design and develop REST/AWS APIs and other code that is reliable, maintainable, and extendable;
  • Write unit, integration, and functional tests, and guide others in doing the same;
  • Document software designs and project tasks;
  • Review functional requirements and analyze their impact on schedule and software design;
  • Lead and participate in design/code reviews.

What You Have

  • 5+ years of experience in software development;
  • 2+ years of team lead experience;
  • Experience developing and deploying in AWS;
  • Experience using modern frameworks like Node.js to build micro services;
  • Experience developing REST APIs according to established best practices;
  • Experience using a framework such as React or Angular to build web UIs;
  • Exposure with AWS Lambda, AWS API Gateway, SNS, SQS, DynamoDB.
