As a Product Manager, you will be working in close collaboration with the broader Product Management team to create the product vision. It is critical that you are able to motivate the engineering team and communicate clear product goals, ensuring we have high quality story definitions and acceptance criteria required to deliver product that enables customers to meet their business goals. The Product Manager is expected to understand the market, the customer, and the business in order to make sound decisions on product features, priorities, and backlog - working closely with engineering, program management, and stakeholders from the field organization, marketing and definitional customers.
What You’ll Do
Understand the market and customer's needs and feedback;
Be an expert with respect to the competition;
Develop the core positioning, pricing and messaging for the product;
Define the product strategy and roadmap;
Deliver MRDs and PRDs with prioritized features and corresponding justification;
Translate high-level product requirements into feature specs;
Manage scope / backlog of features;
Build and manage product release plans;
Work with UX designers to identify usability gaps and create compelling user experiences;
Work with Marketing to help define and execute marketing strategy;
Develop sales tools and collateral;
Brief and train the sales force at quarterly sales meetings;
Demonstrate Product Proficiency by conducting product demos for customers.
What You Have
7+ years of product management (or Product marketing) experience at a Russell 2000 Technology Concern or Established Startup;
5+ years of project management experience;
Demonstrated success defining and launching excellent products;
Knowledge of the relevant markets and industries;
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Marketing required (MBA preferred);
Excellent written & verbal communication skills, especially with regard to customer interactions;
Flexibility to travel as needed (up to 25%);
Strong interpersonal and motivational skills, especially when it comes to leading a team;
Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority;
Provide at least one sample of an effective Product Management document delivered in the past.
