Currently we are looking for a Java Technical Lead for our Zurich office to make the team even stronger.
Collaborate with analysts to understand requirements and develop appropriate functionality to agreed target dates;
Insure that software development gets done according to guidelines and best practices in developing good/clean quality code and to agreed target dates;
Work out lifecycle-based migration scenarios with appropriate experts, plan and drive appropriate migration processes;
Take over software component manager responsibilities like participation in policy driven assessment processes to provide clear/concise feedback and evidences;
Defect corrections end to end from issue handling, analysis, fixing including deployment into production;
Coordinate complex issues (all sorts of technical dependencies like organizing new infrastructure for EOL issues).
Minimum 8 years' hands-on experience in software development in a global financial services organization (banks preferred) and an understanding of what it takes to run successful projects in financial services;
Broadly interested and technically experienced "self-runner";
Proven experience in delivering complex solutions in global banks;
Deep knowledge of software engineering and business informatics aspects in web based database applications, but development and education with software development technology is not first priority on career path;
Potential to become the subject-matter expert of policy-driven general minimal enterprise requirements (MERs) for possibly multiple projects;
Ability to solve problems with persistency even when technical possibilities are limited;
Expert in building networks and connections;
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, and ability to work as part of a global.
