ABOUT PROJECT


We are currently looking for a Senior Business Analyst who is willing to work in a life sciences domain. The position assumes client visibility with the vast majority of stakeholders being scientists and developers. Prior life sciences experience is highly desired but the lack of it might be compensated by natural scientific curiosity.

In a Business Analyst position, you will clarify and analyze business requirements and technical backlog and translate them to easy-to-digest user stories. You should be capable of working in close collaboration with customer BA’s and documenting the findings in an efficient way and explain user stories to team, i.e. developers and testers.

We are looking for a self-motivated, proactive individual, who is comfortable with working in a fast-paced environment in agile mode.

What You’ll Do

  • Perform requirements analysis and provide documentation including project specification, system configuration description, end user documents, training and test scripts;
  • Facilitate discussions with business to understand requirements, drive key decisions, and resolution to issues;
  • Identify options for potential solutions and assess them for both technical and business suitability;
  • Document requirements, write extensive functional design documents, work with developers for the build, write test cases/scripts, facilitate testing cycles with business, perform support and knowledge transfer;
  • Work closely with developers and a variety of end-users to ensure technical compatibility and user satisfaction;
  • Work closely with developers to troubleshoot and resolve issues;
  • Work closely with other project team members for any cross functional issues/tasks;
  • Participate in full system implementation life-cycles (analyze, design, build, test, implement, support).

What You Have

  • Academic degree in Biological Sciences/Life Sciences or 5+ years of work experience as a Business Analyst in the IT or Life Sciences industries;
  • Ability to work individually or in a team environment, preferably having experience working in Agile teams as a Business Analyst;
  • Understanding of application programming, quality assurance, database and system design;
  • Very good understanding of requirements management;
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills;
  • Comfortable with engaging with senior technical stakeholders (architects, tech leads and subject matter experts;
  • Ability to understand and manage customer expectations and software implementation methodology;
  • Very strong English written and verbal skills.

Nice to have

  • Life sciences experience;
  • B.S., M.S. or PhD degree in either STEM or Life Sciences;
  • Experienced performing product manager or product owner job functions will be considered as advantage.
