Currently we are looking for a Network/Systems Engineer for our Minsk office to make the team even stronger.
Our client is an ISV customer from Silicon Valley, with true “startup” spirit within the team, and Google-like approach to work. The services they provide are similar to those of Dropbox but with enterprise-grade level of security, seamless and automatic access to documents, files, and shared folders—and many more great features absent in Dropbox. File distribution to mobile workforce, real-time document backup and continuous availability, and secure transfer of large files as FTP replacement are just a few examples of their competitive edge.
Own network operation for production systems and services:
Contribute in network design, review solutions coming from engineering, implement network part of new solutions;
Revise existing production environments to improve their performance and resiliency;
Perform day-to-day operations and configuration of routers/switches/firewalls;
Carry out capacity management and IP address pool management;
Provide load-balancing solutions in distributed systems;
Investigate production issues as well as network related incidents; contribute in root cause investigations;
Secure network systems.
Act as Backup Systems Engineer:
Manage and provision all systems and services (servers, operating systems, middleware, storage, etc.);
Contribute to design and implement service recovery strategy, disaster recovery plans, and high availability configuration planning for service components;
Perform hardware and software upgrades;
Carry out troubleshooting and resolution of issues;
Communicate with equipment vendors on support cases;
Establish and maintain policies.
Understanding of network connectivity for bare metal and cloud-based environments;
Solid understanding of and experience in implementing and maintaining commonly known core and application level protocols (DNS/DHCP/SMTP/FTP/HTTP(S)/etc.), OSI communication model and TCP/IP protocol stack;
Experience in configuring and maintaining network equipment such as routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and so on;
Experience with a virtual (server-based) routing and firewall solution (ASA1000v, CSR1000v, Vyatta, Palo Alto, etc.);
Hands-on experience with various server operating systems (both Windows and Linux);
Solid understanding of the application servers’ architecture and operating model within at least one type of operating systems (Linux or Windows);
Practical experience in scripting languages and automation of routine procedures.

Experience with SaaS;
Systems Administrator certification (MCSA and/or RHCSA).
