Java Lead Engineer

Currently we are looking for a Java Lead Engineer for our Pune office to make the team even stronger.


  • Lead a team of 4-6 guys and own end-to-end delivery for this team with minim supervision;
  • Drive client/team discussion, resolve team issues, and handle team level escalations.


  • Good orientation in technologies and understanding of architecture;
  • Very strong knowledge of Core Java (object-oriented programming principles, data structures, basic algorithm understanding, working with strings, exception handling, logging, performance, multithreading, polymorphism, XML handling);
  • Strong debugging skills and production debugging experience;
  • Development experience in web services (RESTful, SOAP);
  • Strong SQL knowledge (write complex database queries to fetch, filter, update, and perform other database operations);
  • Good knowledge of HTML, XML, XPath, JSON;
  • Hands-on experience in any of UI technology - JavaScript, jQuery, AngularJS;
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills to interface clients;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, self-driven, and proactive;
  • Ability to translate business tasks into requirements;
  • Broad view and good understanding of architecture;
  • Self-driven and proactive. Not just a task doer but comes up with ideas and suggestion as how to do things better;
  • Ability to travel and work from clients' locations is a big plus.
