Currently we are looking for a Tax Manager/Senior Transfer Pricing Manager for our Budapest office to make the team even stronger.
Monitor the changes in legislation affecting your area of responsibilities and identify potential implications on current company policies and practices as well as initiate the required process changes;
Advise other departments of applicable local tax rules to ensure tax implications are considered upfront in business/operational decisions;
Analyze company value chains to identify and price new and dynamically changing cross border transactions following business opportunities;
Perform regular TP reviews based on corporate guidelines and monitor intercompany profitability, to ensure they are supported by benchmarking studies;
Be responsible for setting up a clear process flows by identifying critical supporting databases/systems and required calculation methods. You will then train the analyst who performs the detailed TP computations and subsequently review the periodic computations and approve recharges;
Be responsible for the completeness of the TP documentation and in this capacity, you will manage external service provider relationships to ensure compliance and timely filing in your area of responsibility;
Participate in replying to tax authority and other governmental authority enquiries from Europe and assist in negotiations during tax audits;
Keep close to our business leaders to understand industry value drivers, activities, risks;
Support the decision-making in M&A due diligence projects and align TP methodologies and policies with acquired entities.
B.A./B.S. degree in Accounting, Tax, Finance, Business or related fields, additional tax qualification is a plus;
7+ years of taxation and within that 4+ years transfer pricing experience in corporate environment and/or Big 4 accounting firm;
Strong oral and written communication skills in English;
Excellent team player with collaborative approach but at the same time you can carry out research, build an idea and own it;
Able to manage competing priorities in a rapidly growing, fast-paced, interactive, results-based team environment;
Excellent computer expertise (including knowledge of tax software e.g. Amadeus);
Hands-on mentality - take ownership of tasks and be able to adapt to changes;
Able to work cooperatively with other members of the tax department and to build professional relationships within the company assisting others to accomplish related job results as and where needed;
Aable to give positive feedback on existing practices in the hopes of building positive change;
Excellent project management, analytical, organizational, interpersonal, problem solving, oral and written communication skills;
Knowledge of and experience in indirect tax is advantage as well as speaking an additional European language.
