Responsibilities

  • Provide support to customers using Cloud Platform products, solutions, and APIs including Google Compute Engine and related services;
  • Provide technical assistance and support as part of a global 24x5-support organization;
  • Work closely with engineers and product managers to improve the product and make our customers successful;
  • Change requests and incident ticket handling for the remaining Infrastructure Teams - Incident Management, Problem Management, and Change Management;
  • Provide technical and developer support to customers using Cloud Platform products, solutions and APIs;
  • Follow notification and escalation procedures;
  • Follow standards for communications with business involving operational issues;
  • Do comfortable shifts;
  • Support 24X7 (two shifts);
  • Work in customer offices.

Requirements

  • 5+ years’ in a Developer, SysAdmin, DevOps, role managing complex environments;
  • Experience managing multiple clients in IT services area;
  • Capable to manage more than 10 resources team;
  • Self-motivated, self-driven and capable to understand team needs;
  • Proactive and capable to manage resources issues in day-to-day;
  • Proven experience managing customer, escalations, contracts, rotation, etc;
  • Excellent ability to identify specific customer needs and drive closure to identified customer issues;
  • Excellent ability to build a strong team environment;
  • Able to coach and mentor others on understanding the customer and identifying specific needs;
  • ITIL Foundation certification (v3 or higher);
  • Creative and mature with a “can do”, proactive attitude and an ability to continuously “scan” the environment, identifying and taking advantage of opportunities for improvement;
  • Detail-oriented, capable of investigating escalated incidents and requests, communicate professionally in a timely manner, with the ability to adapt and learn new skills quickly;
  • Capable to create unambiguous and high-quality deliverables;
  • Experience managing human factor and delivery complexity without impacts;
  • Capable to generate realistic mid and long-term roles;
  • Able to manage constant changes and effectively deploy new services.

Nice to have

  • Strong knowledge of Linux/UNIX and Windows Server;
  • Familiarity with shell scripting;
  • Familiarity with multitasking and multiprocessing;
  • Experience with VMs (Google Compute Engine, VMware, Amazon EC2, etc;
  • Coding ability in one or more languages (Java, Python, C++, etc.);
  • Capable to set up monitoring; conduct performance audit and performance optimization;
  • Strong understanding of administration (user accounts, permission models, access control);
  • Familiarity with networking (NAT, DNS, firewalls, basic routing, load balancing, etc.);
  • Experience troubleshooting Linux performance (CPU, memory, I/O);
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and familiarity with common Linux troubleshooting tools (vmstat, iostat, lsof, strace);
  • Able to design, deploy, follow, explain and enhance defined ITIL/ITSM processes in his team as well as linked teams. Knowledge of Software development processes and methodologies;
  • Tactical vision. Expected to be self-managing, take technical responsibility for a subsystem or a whole project, work without supervision and test his work thoroughly using test cases;
  • Familiarity with SQL;
  • Familiarity with cloud computing;
  • Strong business ownership and customer focus.
