EPAM, recently named the #3 small company in the US by Forbes, is currently looking to add a Senior Experience Designer for permanent, full-time opportunity to join our studio in McLean, VA.
Our ideal candidate is a fun-loving person who has the ability to thrive in a fast-pace environment and has exposure to consulting. They should understand all aspects of the human-centered design process, from user research through design implementation. This person will be involved in the design and analysis of user research activities in order to leverage the findings into cohesive site architectures, wireframes, and functional specification documentation for digital transformations.
The Senior User Experience Designer will collaborate closely with strategists, engagement managers, experience designers, and developers to create the best possible digital experiences while being mindful of client concerns.
Lead UX aspects of responsive-design projects;
Develop of personas, customer-journey maps, service maps, user flows as needed;
Participate in new-business activities, presentations and estimates;
Participate user-research and usability testing activities;
Present research findings and recommendations to internal and external teams;
Collaborate with content strategy leads on content focused solutions;
Collaborate with creative leads on process, interaction design and flows;
Hands on creation site maps, flows, navigation strategies and wireframe prototypes and annotations;
Present design work to internal team as well as clients;
Delegate work to more junior UX designers as needed/appropriate;
Mentor associate-level UX designers.
5-7 yrs. of experience with UX/wireframing software including Sketch, Visio, OmniGraffle, Axure, InDesign or others;
Strong ability to lead user research and testing activities and deliverables;
Excellent ability to explain complex design decisions to experts and laypeople;
Strong understanding of interaction design and usability best practices;
Understanding of responsive design, mobile apps;
Strong ability to lead UX activities within agile environments;
Ability to accurately estimate and delegate work so that it is delivered on time and on budget;
Strong understanding of relevant technologies for desktop and mobile;
Strong verbal and written communication skills;
Excellent presentation skills;
Ability to work with cross-functional teams;
High-level knowledge of visual design and front-end development;
Sound business acumen; strategic skills; common sense;
Willing to travel (if needed);
Experience in service design and or visual design a plus.
