Senior Oracle Database Engineer with Apex

The company operates the world's largest portfolio of retail formats, retail brands and running the gamut from health & beauty, luxury perfumeries and cosmetics, food, electronics and fine wine.

Project technologies and tools

  • Apex versions: 4.5–5.1;
  • Oracle DB versions: 11.2–12.1;
  • JavaScript;
  • Multilingual environment;
  • SVN.


  • Develop and support existing solutions in ERP & Retail for BUs in Europe (pricing and sales, stores and warehouses maintenance, tools administration for internal BUs);
  • Migrate a part of the legacy functionality (based on Oracle forms) to the current Oracle Application Express (APEX) platform;
  • Refine architecture and components catalog: make the most components universal as much as possible, ready to be used in common and similar business processes for various BUs in any client’s retail department, not only in EU;
  • Renew part of components from the catalog: migrate to the newest version of APEX and Oracle, test integration results.


  • 3+ years’ experience building high quality applications using Oracle Application Express (Apex);
  • 5+ years of Oracle database development experience including SQL, PL/SQL;
  • Strong experience with JavaScript, CSS, HTML5;
  • Understanding of relational database concepts and data modeling;
  • Confident knowledge of Jira, Confluence, SVN;
  • As a plus:
    • Experience in Retail and ERP;
    • Agile/Scrum practices.
  • Soft skills:
    • Excellent problem solving skills;
    • Good communication skills;
    • Intermediate or higher English level.
